Manage Product Stocks

This guide explains how to manage product stocks from the staff app.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in to the staff app terminal with a role that has edit access to Inventory.

  • In the merchant app, enable the Manage stock product setting in Terminal settings.

! Caution : While making changes to the terminal settings in the Merchant app, make sure you have selected the desired terminal. Merchant App terminal settings

  • Stock monitor is enabled for the selected product before managing inventory stocks.

Step 1: Open the Inventory module

  1. From the main profile icon, select Inventory → Products.

Step 2: Quick stock update

To immediately change any product's stock:

  1. Click the Kebab menu (vertical ellipsis) icon in the product's row and select Manage stocks.
  2. Enable the stock monitor for the product if it is not already enabled.
  3. Enter the new stock quantity.
  4. Optionally, enter the total value of the added stock to calculate the average value of the current stock.
  5. Click OK.

Step 3: Reduce or reset stock

To decrease or reset stock with a proper reason:

  1. Click the Reset button to reset your stock to zero (sold out).

  2. To reduce stock by a specific quantity, enter the reduce stock quantity and select a Reason:

    2.1 Wastage to reduce the stock as wastage. You can view these entries in the Wastage Reports.

    2.2 Assigned To to reduce the stock based on Custom code or Counter, then select the corresponding type in the Assign To dropdown.

Step 4: Low stock (optional)

  1. Enter the low stock quantity for a product.
  2. When low stock is enabled and a quantity is set, the merchant receives alerts when the product stock reaches the low stock threshold.
